M. B. More Foundation’s Arts, Commerce and Science Junior College

Principal’s Message

Dear students,

The College warmly welcomes all of you to be a part of M. B. More Foundation’s Educational complex. Thomas A. Edison , the famous scientist and inventor once said, “We often miss opportunity because it’s dressed in overalls and looks like work”. All of us in this 21st century where our country and the world is facing various issues like population increase, growing unemployment, climate change, biodiversity loss, likelihood of pandemics, rise in violent extremism and inequality. India is in a unique position to take the lead in addressing these global issues, with its relatively young population, which I believe is a key advantage.

I think curriculum is a nerve centre, a place for teachers and students to connect with those around them and their community. Teachers in this environment became less instructor and more orchestrator of information, giving children the ability to turn knowledge into wisdom. In today’s generation, most of them do not even remember life without internet, they are younger than smartphones, the iPad, television, Instagram and most of these have had available to them in their schooling.

We have been delivering curriculum to our students by making use of technology and multimedia. Our teachers incorporate project work, research work and practicals that helps student to search content, learn on their own, think critically, develop presentation and communication skills, work together and use technology. In each academic year once teacher train new students, they get engaged. In fact, they keep on learning at home, on holidays, they find their resources no matter where they are.

Our vision is ‘Education is Strength’. Education is the tool that can transform the children into enlightened citizens that world needs. Many students have anxiety for certain subjects and scared of study. It is the root of future weakness, lagging behind from career. We should figure out this issue in front of them, let them ask questions in class, fire up their curiosity, provide a platform to search hidden talent, their passion. This ability to foster a love of learning is truly the role of education in the 21st century.

We encourage the staff, students, parents and past students to involve them fully in all activities. We have very strong and supportive management who help the college to excel in everything. We are proud of our successively radiant HSC results and our bright students who excel in various competitions.

Good luck to all and welcome back, once again. Cheer up and may our motto “Education is Strength” motivate you to be a beacon of hope and goodness to all in your family. Keep your spirits lively and optimistic.
